I don’t leave a lot of reviews but this place deserves to high up the list and I wanted to share how pleasantly surprised I was. At $50 a night I was obviously hesitant but the reviews all sounded nice and came from legitimate accounts. The owners are very friendly and polite, the room was very clean and has been recently renovated. Yes it’s an older building and it shows in some places but it’s miles ahead of almost every days inn, super 8 or motel 6. You can tell that the owners take care of it and give it that personal touch when it comes to clean and comfort. Don’t take my word alone, read the rest of the reviews. If you’re passing through town this is the place to stay. Don’t give corporate hotels more money when you can support working individual business owners who take pride in personal hospitality.

We were here for the tornados providing power and had a wonderful stay. The rooms are very nice and newly renovated including new floors. Everything was clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I can’t tell you enough how grateful our entire team was to have found this hotel. It was very affordable and just as nice as the surrounding hotels. Don’t waste your money on corporate hotels. This place is a hidden gem!!!!

Here for our second week long stay for my husband's work. The first time we stayed bed wasnt super comfortable, but cant beat the price. This time we are in another room that seems to have a newer, more comfortable bed. No complaints! Rooms have been clean, AC is cold, super spacious as well. The couple who runs it are super great. Pet friendly for a super low rate ($10 a day). They give you a lower rate in person than booking online which was a pleasant surprise. Quiet surroundings which is a nice change of pace from other recent stays elsewhere. Definitely recommend this hotel!!

We spent over 2 weeks there. The staff was very helpful & courteous. Over all it was a greay stay. They are pet friendly too with a resonable pet fee. They provided everything we needed & they were very kind & considerate.

While visiting family in a nearby small town, we were shocked at the cost for pets in Madisonville, KY hotels. Boy had they risen. $75 a night at a local Choice hotel with room cost well over $100. Big Spring Inn seemed too good to be true …

We had some concerns when we pulled up to the hotel, since it has a very run-down appearance. Being evening, we didn't want to try to move to a different hotel, and my whole group was glad we didn't! The room was exceptionally clean, and our bed was comfortable. To our surprise, the floors through the whole room were heated! The plumbing worked well, and we had good water pressure for our showers. The parking lot was well-lit at night, plus they had numerous security cameras outside watching over their vehicles. Staff was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend anyone else to stay here, as well.

This hotel is definitely older, but very clean! Some of the furnishings are outdated, but still in good condition. Priced exactly right for the accommodations. Don’t come here if u want fancy! No landscaping, continental breakfast, nothing …

This is literally the best hotel we have stayed at!!! The price is great, rooms are so clean and the service is impeccable. They clean our room everyday make our bed and give fresh towels and they also will do your laundry for an affordable price!! Owners are super friendly and they allow pets!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!

The rooms are super clean and spacious. The shower is absolutely amazing. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only complaint I have is housekeeping could come more often, but it was not a big deal. Would stay again happily.

My son and I have been traveling halfway across the country, and we have stopped at many hotels along the way. If they could have all been like Big Spring Inn, the trip would have been even better. It is located right off the highway and nearby everything you need, plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and even a major grocery store just another exit up the road. In fact the hill it is on is beautiful and provides a great view. It's quiet and private, but still feels safe. The room itself was great. Clean, spacious, and complete with TV and plenty of channels, large fridge/freezer combo, and large and comfortable bed. You can see that it has been updated recently, everything looks modern and not aged. The bathroom is very clean and the water pressure is excellent. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We left to take care of business during the day and came back to a clean, tidied up room. Last but not least, the price was unbeatable. Along the trip, I paid over 50% more for an itchy bed in a seedy part of downtown in a big city, and twice as much for an admittedly nice room somewhere else that I only used for a quick overnight sleep. My stay is 3 nights in total and I may in fact need another night to take care of my business here in town. If I return one day, I'm staying here without a doubt. Highly recommend Big Spring Inn.
